To keep the spirit of competition alive amongst the students during this seizure time, Mount Olympus School organized online elocution competition. The topics chosen for this contest were all related to this time of lockdown. More than 100 students of age group 5-8, from various schools of Gurgaon participated in this virtual competition and chose to speak about e- learning, their favourite family time and how they miss their schools in this ‘New Normal’ scenario.
In spite of being young in age , participants gave wonderful and informative presentations. Few of them also tried their hands on making props and designing virtual backgrounds to make it technically sound. It was a treat to all the judges to see these tiny tots performing with bundle of confidence and excellent content. Parents also put in lot of hard work to prepare their wards for this opportunity. This was overall a brilliant experience for all participants, parents and judges. Students were excited to hear that winners will be receiving special prizes from ‘Oxford University Press’ and ‘Bharti Bhawan Publishers’.
The school principal Dr Neeti C Kaushik , encourages students to speak up their thoughts and viewpoint. To keep up the spirit series of online competition are planned for different age groups so that every child gets a platform and chance to speak and come out of their inhibitions.
