Mount Olympus School, Gurugram's Grand Gurpurab Celebration: Embracing Guru Nanak Dev Ji's Teachings from Pre-Nursery to Grade XII

Mount Olympus School, Gurugram celebrated Gurpurab with great fervour and gaiety. The celebration started with a prayer to memorialize the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the first Sikh guru and the founder of Sikhism, followed by the chanting of the soothing holy “ Shabads” thus making the whole ambience serene and pious. Various activities were conducted for the students of Pre-Nursery to Grade XII to mark the occasion and bring home the relevance of the festival to our young generation. Special presentations were prepared to apprise the students about the principles and teachings of the pious soul, Guru Nanak Dev Ji, which reiterated the message of ‘One God’ and the ‘eternal Truth’. It proclaimed that the essence of religion is engaging man to constantly remember the divine always and everywhere. Students were also apprised about the significance of langar and the Guru Prasad.

The students and teachers of Pre- Primary took out “Prabhat Pheri” to emphasise the importance of Gurpurab. Gurudwara exhibit was organised by Grade 1 teachers and students. A serene and calm atmosphere was created. A festive spirit and unbeatable excitement could be seen among the students.
